Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Course 

SMSTS Course over 5 weeks, one day per week starting on Wednesday 20th April 2022 is being hosted by Tennyson Suite at their new modern training centre, in Newhaven.

Course dates are:
Day 1 - Wednesday, 20th April 2022
Day 2 - Wednesday, 27th April 2022
Day 3 - Wednesday, 4th May 2022
Day 4 - Wednesday, 11th May 2022
Day 5 - Wednesday, 18th May 2022

Who is this course for?
This 5-day course is held over five weeks, the training day being every Wednesday.
The course is for those delegates who hold or are about to hold the role of site manager, contracts manager, or project manager.

Delegates must be competent in written and spoken English necessary for operating efficiently at site management, senior site management and project management level. The delegate shall benefit from group working with the other attendees.

Aims of the course.
The course aims to help delegates to plan, manage, monitor, and implement health, safety and environmental aspects on a construction project or site, in accordance with the latest legal provisions, in line with their duty in their respective management role.

Course duration and attendance.
Course days commence at 09.00 and conclude at 16.45.
Delegates shall be required to attend all 5 days at the Training Centre and pass an end of course written exam to gain the SMSTS Certificate.
The certificate lasts for 5 years in which time attendance to an SMSTS Refresher Course is required.

Cost of Course = £695.00 + VAT per person.

Course and workbooks are provided within the cost as is tea and coffee refreshments.

In the centre of Newhaven’s industrial estate, you will find our training centre, offering a wide range of professional and industry accredited training courses for those people seeking to develop their skills in their field of expertise, within a modern, fully air-conditioned environment. Refreshments are provided to delegates with options for buffet lunches served in our breakout area.

Travelling to Tennyson Suite

Our Training Centre benefits from two training suites giving access to everyone who visits us. There is free parking for delegates who travel to us by car, van, or cycle.
Newhaven Town Train Station is less than 10 minutes’ walk from our Training Centre and the 12A bus stops just 100 metres away from the front door to our premises.
For those delegates who travel from outside the BN, TN, and RH area postcodes, there a Premier Inn located in Newhaven for overnight stays, if desired.
